Nancy Shivers, MSN, RN, CCM, is a nurse case manager with more than 25 years of experience in working with all types of health plans. Shivers has been with Optum since 2003. Prior to that, she was a staff nurse at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton. Shivers is interested in the impact of social determinants of health and health literacy on health outcomes and brings a deep commitment to ensuring that CalOptima members receive quality care. She fills the CalOptima Board seat for a current CalOptima member or family member of a CalOptima member. Shivers’ son, daughter and grandchildren are CalOptima members. She was appointed a CalOptima director in February 2021.
