Need to Get Health Advice?

Call the CalOptima Nurse Advice Phone Line at 1-844-447-8441

If you need health advice, call your doctor first or your health network.

We want you to be able to get answers when you or your loved ones are sick, not feeling good or injured.

If you cannot get a hold of your doctor, you can talk to one of our nurses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Nurses answer the phone and can help you get the facts you need to take care of yourself at home.

The nurse can also help you find out what care you need.

Such as at the doctor’s office, urgent care or the emergency room.

  • Figure out your symptoms and what you can do
  • Give you facts about non-urgent and urgent care
  • Refer you to get help or see your doctor, go to urgent care or visit the hospital
  • Explain your condition or your diagnosis
  • Learn about your medication (drugs)
  • Provide interpreter services by phone

TDD/TTY users can call 1-844-514-3774.

Call 911, if you think you have a medical or psychiatric emergency or go to the nearest hospital.
