OneCare Connect

Key trainings for OCC providers and staff

Providers and their staff are required to complete training modules on key topics for OneCare Connect Cal MediConnect Plan (Medicare-Medicaid Plan). The training requirement applies to those directly responsible for providing health care services to our members or who administer OneCare Connect (OCC) health care benefits. Each training module contains topic-specific content created to meet the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and CalOptima three-way contract requirements.

All providers are required to access and view the module titled, OneCare Connect Program Overview.

Required module

OneCare Connect Program Overview  Gain awareness and knowledge about CalOptima’s OCC program and the variety of benefits and services available to members.

Topic modules

Other topic modules may be completed as appropriate or instructed.

OneCare Connect Behavioral Health  Understand the behavioral health benefits available and how OCC members can access them.

OneCare Connect Enrollee Services (Customer Service)  Learn about OCC member benefits and the role of customer service.

OneCare Connect Grievances and Appeals  Identify and learn who is responsible for handling grievances and appeals for OCC members.

OneCare Connect Interdisciplinary Care Team (ICT)  Understand the roles of the ICT in planning and coordinating care for OCC members.

OneCare Connect Long-Term Services and Supports  Identify program services included in OCC Long-Term Services and Supports.

OneCare Connect Member Rights  Understand the rights OCC members and CalOptima’s commitment to keeping members informed of them.

OneCare Connect Model of Care  Learn the goals of OCC Model of Care and its key components.

Upon completion of each module, notify your contracted health network as per their instructions.
